Fat Tuesday (translated from the French phrase “Mardi Gras”) is celebrated yearly on the last day of Carnival, the big feast leading up to the season of Lent. Known for it’s bright color scheme, beaded necklaces, and King Cake, Mardi Gras is a cajun celebration loved by all! The traditional Mardi Gras Parades are held in New Orleans, Louisiana from the first day of Carnival until the evening of Mardi Gras. These well known parades are full of elaborate themed parade floats, trinkets thrown into the crowds, face masks, brass bands playing, and Fleur De Lis all around. It surely is a great time for all involved!

Food & Fellowship

This year, TradeSTAR decided to partake in the festivities! Having small lunch parties gives us all a chance to come together and fellowship with our coworkers from all departments of the office we may not otherwise cross paths with day to day. Plus, we all love an excuse to share delicious food and great conversation with each other! Our feast consisted of crawfish enchiladas, cajun chicken pasta, bacon wrapped boudin balls, red beans and rice, and of course King Cake for dessert!
