Commitment to Training
In order to save both time and money on your projects, you need good people. We believe that TradeSTAR-trained employees will prove to be productive, efficient and safety conscious the first day they work or your jobsite.
We take a great deal of pride in our ability to offer entry-level training programs for both STRUCTURED CABLING and FIRE ALARM INSTALLATION. Our training serves as an extension of our screening services and is designed to introduce the trainee to basic installation procedures. It also gives us an opportunity to observe how a technician interacts with co-workers, as well as test their technical aptitude.
Structured Cabling Training
Entry-Level candidates participate in an 8-hour course designed to establish a baseline knowledge of cabling installation. This includes lecture and hands-on application in the following areas:
- Orientation
- Standards - ANSI/TIA/EIA, 568B, 569A, 570A, 606A, & 607
- Blueprint Reading
- Pulling Methods
- Connectors
- Cable Termination
- Testing
- Professionalism
- Safety
Fire Alarm Training
Entry-Level candidates participate in an 8-hour course designed to establish a baseline knowledge of fire alarm installation. This includes lecture and hands-on application in the following areas:
- Orientation
- NFPA 70 (Article 760)
- Manufacturers Specifications
- Types of Devices and Alarms
- Blueprint Reading
- Pulling Methods
- Connection of Devices
- Testing
- Professionalism
- Safety
